PERENNIAL PLANTS
    Page Updated 07/15/2022
We will begin offering most of these varieties for sale in the Spring of 2023

Note: For purposes of comparison, both Springfield & Ponchatoula, LA are in USDA Plant Zone 8b (Average winter low temperature - 15° to 20°F) - not too far from Zone 9a

Basically, a perennial is a plant that lives for at least 3 years or longer.
But, a desirable perennial is a plant that lives at least 3 years while producing loads of attractive blooms for a long period during the growing season.
We try our best to sell only desirable perennials!

Note: Most blooming perennials require Full Sun & well-drained soil (Louisiana Iris is one notable exception) - Overwatering, along with soggy roots, can cause poor blooming and eventually, root rot!
